STAR, LLC is an Extended Health Care Option (ECHO) Program approved provider. You must first enroll with your local Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) to initiate this process. Given our history of working with military families, we are able to efficiently work with Tricare/ECHO for billing purposes, alleviating some of that potential stress so that you are able to focus on enjoying the growth your child is making. We are also sensitive to military specific issues such as deployments and changing of duty stations. We also work closely with our local EFMP offices to provide additional trainings, seminars, and supports for our military families affected by an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
These services are available to beneficiaries who are:
- Age 18 months and older
- Registered in the Extended Care Health Option (ECHO)
- Diagnosed with one of the following:
- Autistic Disorder (AD)
- Childhood Disintegrative Disorder (CDD)
- Asperger’s Syndrome (AS)
- Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDNOS)
We participate in Tricare’s Enhanced Access to Autism Services Demonstration or “Demo Model” which allows military dependents to have access to a greater range of existing evidence-based interventions for autism through an extended network of educational intervention providers, called Tutors. We, at STAR, LLC, refer to our Tutors as Behavior Specialists as they have to meet a set of educational and experiential standards before being eligible to serve in this capacity. Our Behavior Specialists receive regular supervision from our BCBAs.
Our BCBAs are also available to provide direct services to children who qualify, instead of being a part of Tricare’s Demo Model.
The best option for your child will be determined during intake and after the initial assessment occurs. You, as parents, are an important part of the Behavior Support Team and your input is always welcome.
